The Roosie

The Roosie is the Roosevelt Neighborhood Association's monthly newsletter.

See The Roosie Archive below for previous editions

About 2,000 copies of this newsletter are published monthly, with the exception of December, June and July, although special editions are often published on those dates as well.  Roosevelt residents who volunteer to be “blockheads” deliver the newsletter to doorsteps in the neighborhood.  Copies are also available at several local businesses, including Whole Foods Market, Starbucks, the Dakota Arts Store and others.

Local advertisers help pay some of the cost of the publication.  Membership and tax-deductible donations help cover the rest.  The UPS store on the corner of 12th and 65th is also generous in its support for the cost of the production.

Articles submitted to the newsletter are subject to standard editing. They should be of specific interest to the Roosevelt neighborhood, should be between 300-400 words, and are published on a space-permitted basis.  Articles that follow the above guidelines but are too long for the newsletter may be published on the website.

Please select the Write the Roosie page to contact the Roosie Editor to:
