From February 3 to March 31, 2014, a Sound Transit contractor will be installing a water main under 12th Ave NE, between NE 65th and NE 67th streets.

Most of this work will take place at night, which is defined as 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday. However, the noisiest work will occur during the day.

According to Sound Transit:

  • The sidewalk on the east side of 12th Ave NE will stay open.
  • Street parking will be closed day and night in the immediate vicinity of this work.
  • Street trees on the east side of 12th Ave NE from NE 66th St to NE 67th St will be removed and replacements will be planted later.
  • Some customers will experience short-term water shut-offs, but Seattle Public Utilities will notify them before shut-offs occur.

For more information about the work, visit the Sound Transit website or contact them at 206-398-5300 or northlink@soundtransit.org.
