Participate In the DPD Online Open House Today!

The City of Seattle’s Department of Planning & Development (DPD) is hosting an online open house through July 24 for their Design Review Program Improvements project.

Please visit the online open house for background about the Design Review program, updates on the efforts to improve the program, and to give your feedback on initial ideas so far.

Most new private development for commercial or multi-family buildings in Seattle must go through Design Review to help ensure buildings are designed to enhance the character of the city.

The goals for the Design Review Program Improvements project are:

  • To cultivate the program’s purpose of encouraging better design
  • To improve the level of consistency, efficiency and predictability in how the City administers the program
  • To increase accessibility to encourage better dialogue between the Design Review Boards, applicants and community
  • To use communication strategies and tools to improve how information is presented, shared and reviewed throughout the entire design review process

Visit the DPD Open House and let them know what you think: http://seattledesignreview.publicmeeting.info
