Sign on to Support the Affordable Housing Tax Credit

The RNA supports affordable housing in the Roosevelt neighborhood, and some of the future projects will depend on the Federal Tax credit funding. please consider adding your name to support this program.

The ACTION Campaign is calling on the Trump Administration and Congress to prioritize the Housing Credit as they consider reforms to the nation’s tax code and investments in the nation’s infrastructure. Specifically, we are calling on the Administration and Congress to:

1) Ensure that the Housing Credit and Housing Bonds are held up as positive examples of the power of the tax code to improve communities by maintaining their viability under tax reform, and

2) Expand and strengthen the Housing Credit to increase the availability of safe and affordable housing and revitalize local economies.

Dignified I-5 Crossing at NE 70th – thanks to RNA & NE Greenways

b01e8f27-94bd-4fe8-ab2b-c4cb2e3be579

Thanks to RNA president Scott Cooper (holding up check) & NE Greenways, Andres Salomon, for addressing the I-5 pedestrian crossing at NE 70th St.

$381,000 has been committed by the City of Seattle to support this work.

This I-5 overpass is a major thoroughfare for people walking, biking, and driving, providing one of very few connections east/west between the Roosevelt and Green Lake neighborhoods across I-5. Despite its importance and heavy use the overpass and adjacent intersections remain dangerous and dif cult to navigate for all users.

Applicant Solution

  • All-way stops at NE 70th St and 8th Ave NE and at NE 71st St and 6th Ave NE
  • Curb bulbs and crosswalks at NE 70th St and 8th Ave NE and at NE 71st St and 6th Ave NE
  • Painted sidewalk and protected bike lane on north side of overpass
