This month, the Roosevelt Neighborhood Association recognizes Due Cucina as the August Business of the Month. Due Cucina is an example of just one of the many excellent small businesses in the Roosevelt neighborhood.
Due Cucina opened in Roosevelt in 2021. Owner Filippo Fiori is passionate about bringing food from his native Italy to his Seattle-area community. His goal is to retain authentic preparations and recipes (even some that he got from his grandmother), use fresh ingredients, and offer it all at accessible prices. Based on the restaurant’s success, including expansion to a couple additional locations, I’d say he and the Due Cucina team are meeting that goal. Due Cucina makes everything from scratch and, with an eye toward health and wellness, they source their ingredients sustainably.
Filippo said that Roosevelt was a great choice for their second location because it is a growing, thriving community, with proximity to public transportation, a public high school, and nice parks. He is proud to say that Due Cucina is a place where everyone is welcome, a place to relax and enjoy the vibe. I’ve been to Due Cucina several times and have always enjoyed my meals. The environment is very comfortable (especially in the summer, when it’s open air), the staff are super friendly and helpful, and the food is deee-lish!
