The January 2026 Roosevelt Business of the Month
Did you know that you can shop sustainably for an awesome range of home and personal-care items right here in Roosevelt? If not, you should visit Ravenna Refills as soon as possible!
This month, the Roosevelt Neighborhood Association is recognizing Ravenna Refills as the January Business of the Month. Ravenna Refills is a plastic-free general store, offering a curated selection of items for the home and body that are good for you and good for the planet. All of their products are B Corp-certified, meaning that they have clean ingredients and are made using sustainable practices and packaging.
If your goal is to eliminate or reduce plastic in your home, this is your place! They even have plastic-free bandages and wipes. The store’s owners, Robin, Jenny, and Josh, are passionate about providing a hub where the community can shop for items they need every day and feel confident that those items are good for their homes, their bodies, their families, and their planet.
Before opening the store last year (on January 29, 2025), Robin was already creating and selling natural products – such as lip balm, body butter, sugars and scrubs, and hair and body oils – through her business, Robin’s Nest Apothecary. Jenny and Josh had recently purchased the house on the northwest corner of 65th St. and 16th Ave to save it from demolition and to open Ravenna Rocks. They partnered with Robin to create a shop where they could sell her products, along with many other sustainable home and personal-care items. Ravenna Refills now boasts a selection of 60 refillable items!
In addition to a wide array of everyday home and personal-care items, Ravenna Refills has some fun surprises. Ravenna Refills is celebrating their one-year anniversary on January 31, 12-3 PM, with a big swap – clothing, puzzles, books, tarot, and plants. The store demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and community engagement by offering regular swap events, where community members can share items they no longer need, and others can take items they can use. In addition, they recently started hosting a community pantry, where community members can donate non-perishable foods, and anyone who needs them can pick up the donated items during store hours. No questions asked; just take what you need. The community pantry also includes some personal-care items that are donated through the purchase of Ravenna Refills gift cards.
Ravenna Refills is in the same building as Ravenna Rocks, at 6505 16thAve NE. The store is open Wednesday-Sunday 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM (but on Sundays, they close at 5:00 PM). We hope you’ll check out their wide variety of healthy and creative items!
