Neighborhood Events

April 19, May 3, 17, and 31 (every other Sunday) 10-11:30 AM. Roosevelt Community Defense. Cedar Crossing Community Room. Neighbors coming together to make our community more safe, just, and kind. All are welcome.

April 26, 2-5 PM, Willa Playschool Bake Sale. Rising Sun Produce. Get some tasty baked goods (home-baked cookies, empanadas, cakes, bread, muffins, and more!) while supporting a neighborhood school.
May 2, 9:45 AM-noon, Adopt-A-Street neighborhood litter pickup. Meet in the All Nations (formerly Calvary) parking lot. Join us to help keep Roosevelt tidy! Details here.May 2. City of Seattle Neighbor Day! Find out more information on their website.
May 6, 7:30-9 PM, RNA monthly meeting. Cedar Crossing Community Room, 6620 Roosevelt Way NE. More details here.
May 10, 12-2 PM, Clothing Swap. Ravenna Refills, 6505 16th Av NE. Bring some clothes and take some home! (If you are in need of clothing and have none to spare, please come by and get some).
May 117-9 PMTrivia Night at Project 9. Come join the Roosevelt team and help us win the night! (Or at least sit around drinking beer, pretending we know stuff). See a longer blurb below. No RSVP necessary. Look for the moose on our table!
May 14, 7-8 PM, Roosevelt Emergency Hub, on Zoom. Contact them here for more information and a link to attend. You can also check out the Hub website here. And take a look at the Seattle Hubs calendar for free events to help you prepare for emergencies and be aware of how the city and the hubs are getting ready. One more resource is the Office of Emergency Management trainings calendar.
June 6, 1045-1245, Annual Roosevelt High School Marching Band Neighborhood Parade. The band with be marching on the streets around the high school. Always a good time!

March Business of the Month! Chance Encounter Games

Chance Encounter Games is our Business of the Month. We are so happy to have Dante’s beautiful store in our neighborhood. But did you know that it’s also a fun and supportive place to play games, and a neighborhood gathering spot? Dante is as dedicated to building community as he is to promoting and guiding D&D. Read more about them here!
Also, there’s lots of events at Chance Encounter Games. See you there!

Trivia Night!

Save the Date – 2nd Monday Trivia Night! 7-9 PM. Roosevelt Neighborhood Association trivia meetup at Project 9 Brewing, 1409 NE 80th St. Join us for a fun and casual trivia night at Project 9 Brewing on May 11. This event is meant to bring neighbors together – no trivia expertise required.

We will be there every 2nd Monday going forward, and hopefully you will be, too!

Look for the Roosevelt Neighborhood Association table (there will be a moose!)—we’ll have a couple of members there to welcome you. You’re welcome to play or just hang out. No RSVP needed; come solo or bring friends.
Project 9 is an all ages venue.

Whether you’re new to the neighborhood or have lived here for years, this is an easy way to connect and be part of the community. See you then!
